Nolensville Healers + Practitioners

My view of Myofascial Release (MFR) is that it’s a beautiful, supportive modality that blends wonderfully with other healing efforts. My clients experience the best results when Integrative MFR is part of a broader approach, whether alongside traditional medicine, talk therapy, or other supportive practices. With this in mind, I’ve started compiling a list of Nolensville area healers and practitioners who have been helpful in either my own journey or my clients’ healing journeys. After all, it takes a village!

I’m honored to share this resource of trusted professionals in the healing community, many of whom are right here in Nolensville. I hope it serves as a helpful starting point, and as always, please check with your doctor before adding new healing methods to your routine.

    Clinical Care Team

    Barry Chiropractic

7211 Haley Industrial Drive STE 230, Nolensville, TN

I appreciate Dr. Barry’s approach to chiropractic care. He doesn’t ignore the importance of soft tissue. His adjustments start by relaxing the muscles causing skeletal misalignment and are conservative. Better yet, he will respect your boundaries.

    Perform Nashville

7408 Tennessee Excavating Drive STE 202, Nolensville, TN

The therapists at Perform work with a Light Force laser, which can help relieve pain and reduce inflammation in deep areas of the body. This treatment is great for arthritis, bursitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis, and sciatica.

    Dr. Tyler Hurst

The Brain Health Clinic, 1101 Kermit Drive, Nashville, TN

Dr. Hurst is a neurological chiropractor who focuses on how the brain drives the body into unhealthy patterns. His specific areas of expertise include brain injuries, balance and dizziness complaints, and neurological rehabilitation.

    Other Massage Modalities

    Lymphatic Massage

Candis VanSickle, LMT, 574 Franklin Road STE 200, Franklin, TN

Candis specializes in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD). Her sessions encourage lymphatic flow to support healthy immune responses in the body and to get slow or stagnant lymph flowing. Candis opens her books just once per quarter, but if you can plan in advance and you need lymphatic drainage, she is worth the wait.

    CFT

Betsy Dillman, RN, 574 Franklin Road STE 200, Franklin, TN

As you may know, I only see children ages 12+. If you have a younger child or baby, I recommend Craniosacral Fascial Therapy (CFT) with Betsy. She is passionate about babies and children and has a background in NICU and pediatric trauma. CFT is a gentle approach that supports the body’s natural healing process.

    Reflexology

Rena Ooi, 7287 B Nolensville Road,
    Nolensville, TN

Rena Ooi at Turning Your Leaf in Nolensville specializes in reflexology, health coaching, and grief counseling. She is one of the most compassionate souls I have encountered. Reflexology is a therapeutic technique that involves applying pressure to specific points to promote relaxation and balance.

    Other Resources:

    Foot Conditions

I also have clients with fascial restrictions that begin in the feet with many making the connection between these restrictions and neck and shoulder pain. These clients have found relief by working on their feet between sessions using multiple tools and modalities. The resources they recommend include tools by Blackboard Training, Naboso Toe Splay, and Correct Toes. One client also highly recommends Dr. Nicholas Fussell with Nashville Family Foot Care.

    Pelvic Health

Physiotherapy Pelvic Health Clinic in Cool Springs offers offer pelvic health treatments to both men and women who suffer from a wide range of pelvic pain, bowel and bladder dysfunction, sexual dysfunction and pregnancy related conditions in women. You can learn more on their website.

    POTS

POTS is a syndome I’m hearing more and more about. I have multiple clients seeking answers and thus far they have recommended Josh Duley, the Biologix Center in Franklin, Dr. Amanda Martin, and Dr. Sanders.

Josh Duley is a nurse practitioner at the Pediatric Heart Institute at Monroe Children’s Hospital who treated 400 clients with POTS in 2024. He is excellent at explaining symptoms and what’s happening in her body body.

Dr. Martin is a client recommendation specifically related to POTS related hip pain. She practices at Elite Sports Medicine + Orthopedics in Franklin and specializes in sports medicine injuries and surgery of the hip, knee, shoulder, and elbow.

Margaret Sanders is a client recommend internist at Heritage Medical. Dr. Sanders completed a rotation at the Vandy POTS clinic, and she knows how to tackle the symptoms.

    Scoliosis

Two scoliosis treatment methods, including the Schroth Method and SEAS, complement MFR well.

If scoliosis is caused by a neurological condition, such as Retts Syndrom (RTT) or Cerebral Palsy, I highly recommend Jennifer Allen, DPT at Full Circle Therapy in Smyrna. Jennifer offers aquatic and hippotherapy.

    TMJ

Dr. Cheryl Scott is an expert in TMJ disorders and uses a non-surgical approach. She takes a holistic view, focusing on root causes through joint, occlusion, and muscle analysis before implementing a treatment plan. From a myofascial perspective, one of the most important aspects of TMJ treatment is supporting movement and joint mobility, which aligns well with Dr. Scott’s approach.

Allison Savic is a Myologist in Cool Springs. She can also see patients virtually. Allison specializes in orofacial myofunctional disorders (OMDs) that can cause Face/Jaw Pain (a.k.a. temporomandibular joint disorders or TMD).
